Dr. Muhammad Umair Jahngir is a Board Certified Nephrologist at Peninsula Nephrology Associates in Salisbury, Maryland. He completed his Nephrology fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, followed by a Critical Care Medicine fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York. This dual fellowship training brings exceptional depth in both nephrology and ICU nephrology, including the management of critically ill patients with acute kidney injury, dialysis, and refractory electrolyte and acid-base disorders.

Dr. Jahngir's clinical interests include hypertensive and diabetic nephropathies, primary and secondary glomerular diseases, and chronic kidney disease related to chronic heart failure. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on hemodialysis access, glomerular disease, and critical care nephrology, and was named a Rising Fellow by the National Kidney Foundation in 2024.
