Dr. Muhammad Owais Hanif is a board-certified internal medicine physician and nephrologist in Salisbury, Maryland. He has been with Peninsula Nephrology Associates since 2022 and is dedicated to caring for patients with kidney disease and other complex internal-medicine conditions.

Dr. Hanif earned his medical degree from Jinnah Sindh Medical University in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his internal medicine residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Pennsylvania and his nephrology fellowship at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. His areas of specialty include chronic kidney disease, dialysis management, and transplant nephrology. In addition to his work at Peninsula Nephrology Associates, he serves as medical director at Fresenius Kidney Care Princess Anne and Fresenius Kidney Care North Salisbury.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hanif enjoys playing cricket, tennis, and soccer; traveling; and breeding exotic birds.
